Szczyrk is a picturesque mountain resort (with skiing facilities) lying in Silesian Beskid Mountains located in the southern part of Poland. It is approximately 16 km (10 miles) south of the city of Bielsko-Biala and about 100 km (65 miles) south-west from Krakow (Cracow), the ancient Polish capital.
